My induction today; Tristian (Personal Trainer) moving me from one place to another, showing me how each equipment works like I’ve never set foot in the gym. I had forgotten how everything operates. When you start and stop…that’s exactly how it’ll remain. Your life and dreams will shut.
It’s not too exciting to live a life full of “what could have, if only”… I got a lot of those, only because I STOPPED. We all grew up being told to work hard, push hard in order to get the things that you want but, this means nothing if you have no clear vision or purpose whatsoever. You hear this every day and get annoyed actually, you’d even rather ignore your mother’s calls ‘cause you know that chances are she’s going to ask you a million questions about your life that is not making sense due to lack of commitment, persistence, consistency and loyalty…hey you gotta be loyal to your life, you can’t even expect people to be loyal to you when you can’t even be loyal to yourself.
Okay so the induction went well and managed to squeeze in a few workouts closely monitored by a Personal Trainer, he was very patient and motivating, as they should be (when you do what you love you’ll indeed do it effortlessly). Exercises were a bit hectic but ‘cause I’d already been working out from home, it really made the entire process easier. Warmed up on the treadmill for about 5 minutes. Jumped on to weights and did a bit of dumbbell lateral raise, dumbbell shoulder press, e.t.c… a bit of glute and hamstring workouts.
When I got home, took a shower, made myself something healthy to eat and jumped straight into binge reading, “Becoming Michelle Obama.” But at the back of my mind, I was still thinking about how I didn’t really push enough… I went to my lounge, put on workout videos and did a few exercises again. As I’m typing this, I feel like I should be pressing on some more.
I love this new addiction than any other addiction I’ve ever indulged in. .. They tried to make me go to rehab and I said NO NO NO!
