Real Time: Friday, 13th December 2019.
There is no way that you can dig, dig and dig and not find gold, it does not matter how long it will take you but you will eventually find it and don’t ever compare yourself and your personal journey with other people’s. Please believe this, this is the hardest thing to conquer, this is life itself and hence there’s specific and only few people in life who find this gold, there is more than enough gold for each and every human being on planet earth, other people get a bigger stake because some die without having tried their level best to find it.
You know, I’ve been mildly obsessively going through Zozibini Tunzi interviews since the day she was crowned Miss Universe, from when she was auditioning for just a spot in the Presenter Search competition to where she currently is at this very hour known by the entire universe and, there is absolutely an unavoidable, undeniable major and an intensive growth that happened between then and now. She was trained very well and she was willing to be trained, learn more and grow towards being the person she needs/needed to be. I said this one time that, no one is born 1 hundred percent intelligent, at some point, you’re going to have to DECIDE and CHOOSE to focus on human development, to be specific, your own personal development.
That’s how extensive and substantial intelligence is multiplied, this is achieved through developing, growing, adapting, cultivating, honing and harnessing, stretching yourself further, expanding yourself, widening your horizons…If you still don’t believe this then I don’t know. We all have dreams, we all have goals but we, a whole lot of us never reach them because we give in to hardships, we give in to hurdles, we give in to challenges, we give in to impediment.
We give up and subconsciously settle for the next SECOND “best thing” that doesn’t necessarily require that much headache, pain and struggle.
Anything that comes a bit easier and/or quicker, we turn to think that maybe this is what I’m meant to do or it’s where I’m meant to be plus I’m good at it and you give your initial dream the middle finger or confuse your mind with so many negative thoughts. I’ve seen this with myself and with very close people to me and it breaks my heart. You’re absolutely wrong wrong wrong!!! It might feel good for a while but eventually you’ll realize that you’ve settled and that there’s so much more out there and so much more you can do for yourself if you can make an extra effort to stretch further and further and further keeping in mind that there are no limitations.
Life will make you feel like you’re going through one huge pathetic cycle when things are not working out at the time that you want them to work out. You’ll even feel inadequate and useless. But this is what we call a fixed mindset, if you can transition into a growth mindset then setbacks and delays will not necessarily be the core issue in your life as you will be able to recognize and snap out of regression real quick!
Remember, the world needs you too, you’re in demand too, you’re awesome and brilliant too, you’re everything that the world needs too, you’re important and more than adequate too.
Zozi decided that she was going to try over and over, and by trying over and over that’s when you get better (with each try) at your initial calling and eventually become that is you’re called to do. She managed to work on herself during her time of what seemed like struggle and a cycle. You will only be able to crossover to the next level the day you understand the importance of HOMEWORK, REVISION and PREPARATION. During Zozi’s ongoing cycling of trying over and over, she was being trained to be a leader, she was not ready and still had to dig, dig and dig some more. She was denied many things but she still continued, as she was still continuing something bigger was being brewed inside of her and for her.
Your life’s purpose supercedes everything, your SECOND best thing is not your purpose, it is what came easier and you settled… and hey if you are happy with settling then I guess that is okay too but never ever discourage those who practice human development when they know settling for them is not an option.
If you could not/did not reach your goals this year, do not despair…find a sacred corner or space and reflect. Dig more, do your homework and practice preparation. Do anything and everything to get schooled, read relevant books aligned with your trajectory, search the ‘net and watch videos of people you can draw some inspiration from.
Going with the flow does not work and it will never work. My purpose is to spread Human Development and I can assure you that there is no growth and development in just flowing.
(This is my last piece of 2019 and thank you all for reading, I hope that it has touched someone out there and has helped in shifting a mindset. See you all in 2020, God bless!!!)
